Is urgent and I would like to ask anyone who might know anything about to get back to me. I have a Windows 2003 server, SQL server\instance 2005 on Raid 5 installed and If I'm connecting to the data base locally from the server or through Terminal Services it is working just fine. If another users (SQL developers) trying to connect to the same data base on this sql server it just doesn't go and they are getting message saying that SQL 2005 by default doesn't allow remote connection..I have checked and remote connection on server itself is checked on and is allowed.
Any help is more than appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Toni

Toni,
When you enable 'allow remote' connections you will need to stop and restart the SQL service for the changes to take affect. maybe a place to start.
Hope this helps

SQL server instance

Server analysis service instance
Server reporting service instance
TCP and Pipes have been enabled for sure??
Thanks!

You need to restart:
SQL server instance service that relates to the instacne in question
You do not need to restart the other services

Attached is a screen shot. You can see the setting in the properties of SQL Server instance. You can get to this dialog by right clicking SQL Server instance in Management studio and click Properties.
