    Technically, there are 2 right answers to this question.

    The SAC tool allows you to enable remote connections by enabling TCP/IP or Named Pipes, or both. However, the SQL Configuration Manager also allows you to turn on these protocols which will also, in turn, allow for remote connections.

    Yup, and if you ask me which tool *I* am going to use, I'm not going to use SAC because the only thing I'm concerned about is getting the Netlibs enabled, so I'm going to use configuration manager.
