i am developing VB6 application for a company
which have one Head office and 4 braches allover the country(india).
they need summerised reports at head office.
So,
i am now planning to, (sometimes foolish)
take a full back up first
and then
e-mail differential backups each day and
restore to its own local databse at head office,
then merge to a central db and take report.
am i doing a right thing ?
any other suggestions will be a great help 4 me..

Use Replication. Create a Publisher/Distributor on the central server, then set up transactional or merge subscriptions to the 4 satellites on a regular basis.
