Relocating systemdatabases and folder under MSSQL10.InstanceName\MSSQL

  HI

  We're planing to relocate our system databases to a new disk that is being

  added to out SQL Server 2008 cluster. I've found this article

  explaining how to move the actual databases, but we also have to move the entire contents of the MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL folder (Data, FTData, JOBS, Log, repldata).

  Will this be done automatically or are there any parameters that I will have

  to change directly in the SQL Server installation?

  hi,

  you may move all your systemfiles and other files to new disk with the same paths and then switch your drive letters. this will work fine.
