Hi
In my project i am using three different Databases.In my requirement one databse is standby/readonly format.How to create a role and appy that role in Readonly format database also.
Note:
Currently i created a database role then create a user .I assign that new role to perticulr role also.but i am not able to acess that read only database.when ever i given sysadmin role that time i can able to access all the database(Including read only db also). how to avoide give sysadmin role? pls suggest any other idea? But i want access read only database.

Is the database in readonly/standby due to logshipping or other HA technology or have you set it like that manually?
Is the databases on a different server than the others?
Is the user windows based or SQL authentication?

Hi Thank u for your reply..
All the threee databases i am using same server only.I am using sqlserver authentication.
Database read only is not log shipping purpose.when ever i restore a tranaction log backup that time i select standby/readonly option.
