Excuse my ignorance, but what is the red squiggly mark on my instance icon in enterprise manager? It appears that everything is fine and I don't see any errors.

Believe it or not, it means it's connected and working fine. I had the same problem when I first saw it... Red usually means something is wrong.

It is crazy. It has to be indicative of something that failed and recovered at least!

Heh. I remember the first time that I saw it. A co-worker called me over to his desk asked me what I thought it meant. I looked at the little red zig-zag shrugged and said "maybe your server was hit by lightning?"
