Hi Guys,
Firstly I would like to say thanks to all replies on my previous post. SQLServerCentral is my number 1 forum site.
Getting to the point. We as a company are looking at the Red-Gate software. Now me as newly inexperienced appointed dba are looking on providing this solution to the company.
I'm currently looking at the SQL DBS Bundle option. Anybody have experience with this? What is your findings on this application. I've downloaded and used the free trial, and must say that it looked easy to setup and to use.
Any suggestions from your side?

I have no experience with the DBA bundle, but I use SQL Prompt daily and I absolutely love it.

I love SQL Compare!
Great tools at reasonable prices for sure. However, be aware that some of the tools like the SQL Backup utility can only be used for one server so the costs can add up if you plan to use it on multiple servers.

Society has varying and conflicting interests; what is called objectivity is the disguise of one of these interests - that of neutrality. But neutrality is a fiction in an unneutral world. There are victims, there are executioners, and there are bystanders... and the 'objectivity' of the bystander calls for inaction while other heads fall.

I've only really used SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare and both tools are awesome.

As a DBA I used a number of tools in the DBA bundle and was a big fan.
If you ever get a chance to attend a SQL in the City or SQL PASS you can see their software in action, play around and test it, get questions answered. Regdate is a good, honorable company and their software is excellent, reasonably priced and comes with good support.

The DBA bundle is a very handy set of tools. I recommend it in many different arenas. If you can get it, then do. It should prove a valuable commodity.

Completely agree. Also I second the nomination for SQL Prompt

I currently work for Red Gate, but, prior to my employment here, I worked with the Red Gate tool belt for 10 years as a DBA. My love for the tools and all that they did for me as a DBA is a huge part of what drove me to ask the company for a job. So, I am a biased source, but the bias is based on living with the tools on my desktop for years. If you have any specific questions on how the tools work or what you can do with them, fire away. You might also want to check the resources posted over on simple-talk.com. We write articles on how you can use the tools over there, as well as detailed articles on SQL Server, programming, etc.
And I use SQL Prompt every day, still.
