I have a tablix inside a rectangle (Region 1). Below my report I have another table/rectangle(Region 2). If the number of rows returned from Region 1 goes over a certain amount of rows, it pushes Region 2 to the next page. What I don't understand is there is PLENTY of white space Region 1. Why would it push the bottom to a second page? I have tried several techniques including the forced lines on the right and bottom of the rectangle (http://lukehayler.com/2009/07/managing-reporting-services-layouts-using-the-rectangle-in-ssrs/ -- it's mentioned in the comments), Nesting Rectangles and using textboxes inside the rectangle (http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/383350/add-can-grow-and-can-shrink-properties-to-rectangle-control), setting ConsumeContainerWhitespace = True, and many others that I was shooting in the dark.
Attached is a screen print of the behavior. This should fit on one page but again it's not.
I would greatly appreciate any help as I have struggled with this for days.

Have you checked your body size, report size and margins? Does this just happen when you export to PDF or do you get two pages in the report viewer?

Thanks for the reply,
My body and report size are both 8.5X11 and my margins are set to all 0s.
To answer you second question, I get different results depending on what I change. Sometimes it looks fine in report viewer but is messed up in the export. Other times they are both messed up the same. And again they are both wrong but each is differently wrong. Very frustrating :/

-Try Adding a row to the top of the tablix and then to move all into that row. That will make all the same content and will not force the page break.
-Check page break in all the objects to make sure they break at the same moment.

This still pushes me to a second page.

Hi,
I had faced the same issue and resolved after changing the page setup settings in report properties.
Please find the attachment Image. May be it will help you.

WOW! I have still had issues with this even though this post is over a year old and from what I tested your settings WORKED. How did you think you set the page outside the normal paper size? I never would have thought to do that just in general...thinking it would cause more problems.
Thanks for the reply!

Many thanks!
