Recovery model for tempdb

    Hi all,

        When i try to change the recovery model for the tempdb it says 'Recovery model for tempdb can't be changed ' by default it is simple .. what could be the reason for it be always simple ?

     Any ideas ?

    You can't backup Tempdb anyway.  By design, nothing is permanent in Tempdb and it's recreated whenever SQL Server is started, so there's no point in backing it up.
