  I've been trying to find a good primer for mdx that I can sit down and learn the basics but I can't find a whole lot out there. When I done the same for tall there were a lot more resources. Can anyone advise a good beginner course/book/lessons to mdx?

  I suggest you this book , i bought some years ago.

  I suggest also to search any good webcast or video of Chris Webb..

  MDX is not easy , it needs use it frequently...

  Unfortunately i do not use so much so i need me too any help...
