"Recent Posts" issue

  • I have frequently encountered an issue with the "Recent Posts" link.

This links brings up a little dialog, where I typically select "Posts added today".

These results "time out" after a period of time, where you need to get them again. I'm fine with that.

But, when I'm actually going and getting a new search (not a page refresh), I get the message. When I'm actually doing the action, I don't need a message telling me the page is expired and to go do that action.

    Thanks,

  • I'm confused what is happening. Can you explain it a touch better?

  • Okay... I'm looking at the recent posts, by clicking on the "Recent Posts | Posts added today". I know that this times out after a while, and you need to research. Realizing that I'm probably over the end of that time, while still on the page returned by the first time executing this, I go back and select "Recent Posts | Posts added today". If I am over that time, I get the "Hey, your search is old and needs to be refreshed". Since that is exactly what I'm trying to do, I don't think I should be getting this.

Does this give you the information you need? Just let me know if you need any more information or clarification.

  • Steve, this is the message I get:

Sorry your search results have expired within our database. Search results are held for around 30 minutes. You will need to perform your search again.

    Return to previous page...

... I was "performing the search again" when I got this message.
