If I have added SSIS AFTER installing SQL2005 and SP1, should I reapply SP1? In the past, I have reapplied a service pack after adding components to SQL Server, but not sure if that's the best thing to do with SQL2005 and it's components. Thanks.

While installing SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition on one of our development servers, I ran into issues applying SP 1. SSIS would not start after applying the service pack. In my attempts to correct the problem, I uninstalled and re-installed SSIS several times, and reapplied the service pack. It is possible to only process those parts of the service pack that are needed (or manditory).
Knowing this, be sure you can get to the Internet from the server you installed SSIS on before applying the service pack.
