Good morning All,
I have a set up that consists of 3 servers (Srv1, Srv2 and Srv3)
In this exmaple Srv1 is the pricinple.
Read only routing is configured such that it should connec to Srv2, Srv3 and if they fail then back to the princple Srv1
The Read only Routing list looks like (Srv2, Srv3), Srv1
And this works. There is no problem here. Specifying ApplicationInteit=readonly sends you to either Srv2 or Srv3 *most of the time*
But what I am also seeing intermittently is some connections hitting Srv1.
The connection strings have all be confirmed to be correct, there is no rogue strings in use anywhere.
My question: Is there a way to track what is being sent to the last ditch Srv1 -- I don't see nay connectivity errors against Srve2 or Srv3 to justify why some have been sent to Srv1.
I am guessing this is because the decision as to whom to connect to is made by the driver and not the sql server?
In any case I would like to track these rogue Srv1 connections.
Cheers
Alex
