Greetings.
I have installed MSDE and the full version of SQL Server on my server. I am able to register both the SQL Server and MSDE instance in Enterprise manager if I am at the SERVER. My problem is this: While I can use Enterprise Manager from a WORKSTATION to connect to the SQL Server I CANNOT CONNECT TO MSDE. I get an error that either access is denied or MSDE cannot be found. I have MSDE running in mixed mode and I changed it to run from the local account(by default) to run under an account with administrator priviledges on the domain. However, I still cannot connect to MSDE. ARRRRRRRRRGH!
Any ideas?

Check the "Server Network Utility". By default MSDE only installs with the Shared Memory protocol enabled. You'll need to enable TCP/IP and/or Named Pipes before you can connect to it from another machine.
