RAM

  • [sql server 2000 enterprise edition

    windows 2000 advanced server]

How can I find out exactly how much memory each Instance is consuming ? (i have 6 instances)

  • I beleive that the performance monitor counters have objects for each instance so you can look at them individually.

  • I have looked but none of these match up with the Task Manager "sqlserver.exe" process and the memory it is consuming ?????

  • I know of no other tool to see this off hand. Not sure where you could find anything to tell you which server instance is what PID in Task Manager but if I find something I will try to pass along.

  • I'm not sure if that what you are looking for, but check the system stored proc MS_sqlctrs_users, it will give some info including memory usage by processes.
