Hey Bruce take a look at this app. I found this a while back when I was looking to extract data from a Raima db. The data files I had were corrupted, so I never got this to work correctly. Maybe it might be some help to you.

Actually I started messing around with this again. I called Raima they informed me they have a export utility in their embedded db. Birdstep’s RDM Embedded software download available at http://www.raima.com/products/rdm-embedded/sdk-download/
You will need to fill out a forum to download the file. Once you download and install it you can use the export utility. Also, if you go to the following online docs and search on dbexp you will find some info on this utility. http://www.raima.com/docs/rdme/9_1/

Hi I am the head of marketing for Raima and just wanted to chime in and tell you that you can find more information on our Website: http://www.raima.com and/or our forum at http://www.raima.com/forum. We just released RDM Embedded 10 which included a major re-architecting of the product enabling it to take full advantage of multi-core processors. Now RDM has a transactional file server component so the utility you are looking for (dbexport which is part of the RDM Embedded SDK) works a little differently. Here is a link to a post on our forum which explains how to set it up for older versions of http://www.raima.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1253&sid=a51449411b2acc9fc5e805b5abdda35a
Hope this helps.
Best Regards...

I have a embedded RAIMA database and want to extract its schema structure. I came across your post in which you have suggested lookign at http://www.linuxdevices.com/news/NS8794867415.html
I tried acessing this link, but its asking me to login. Do you know where else I kind find the same information?
The requirement I have is to extract the schema structure from a RAIMA database and possibly get that structure created in SQL SERVER 2008. Is that possible?
Thanks!

Hi
I am facing the same problem. I have to convert data fom Raima Database Manager 4.5 but i cannot open the database. Here i should say that in my case raima comes in combination with "Docuware". So i have a "file cabinet" which looks like this ( lets call the cabinet Account) :
ACCOUNT.ADF
ACCOUNT.D01
ACCOUNT.D02
ACCOUNT.D03
ACCOUNT.D04
ACCOUNT.D05
ACCOUNT.D06
ACCOUNT.D07
ACCOUNT.K01
ACCOUNT.K02
ACCOUNT.K03
So my questions would be: is this the usual Raima database structure ( or is it some Docuware structure based on Raima), how can i open this "database", is there any possiblity to export this data ?
I have tried a lot of things, even Vim for windows, but i just cant get the dependencies between the data. I manage it to get the data listed (open the files with notepad++), but i can't say which entries are "connected" and so i cannot export this data into SQL.
Best regards

Hi,
I have to upgrade the raima embedded database 7.1 version to 11.0 version.
How to upgrade the database without old data loss?
Is there any utility for that?
Thanks,
