  • Yes - we are.

Maybe everybody should retire early when we get to 999999.

Agreed. Certainly fewer posts that I can answer.

  • It's been a quiet week. There are lulls and quick expansions in the forums at times.

  • Where do you see the total number of posts?

Where do you see the total number of posts?

Look a couple lines under your name and you'll see this :

  • Each post has the ID counter for it under it to the left.

Getting close to a million after 9 years.

Wow, so much content and yet that's barely 304 posts / day over 9 years. :w00t:

That's still not too shabby. Consider that most of those posts are not from the heavy hitters / frequent posters.

  • I'm betting the average has increased dramatically over the years. Might be interesting to see an avg posts/day for each of those 9 years.

I must have looked past this a bunch of times. Thanks.

  • Wow, it's amazing that we are actually rapidly approaching the 1,000,000th post. Now, question is, what data type is the Post number??? 😉 (in other words, when will we hit the max value ? THAT could be funny - "cannot post message; dataoverflow on line 7" or something like that):hehe:

  • Well, it can't be a TINYINT or a SMALLINT because we've already passed the maximums for those, and it seems pretty unlikely it's a non-integer datatype, so the smallest max value it could have is INT at 2,147,483,647--if it's taken more than ten years to hit a million that suggests there isn't likely to be a problem for another twenty thousand years or so. 😛
