The field is the better bet, for sure. But it's not about total post, it's about hitting the forums on the right day. Some random person is likely to get it, but given the regularity, especially on the weekends, there's a decent chance it will be one of the top 10 posters from the last 30 days.
I think we're a ways away. I should get an average #posts/day. It used to be around 400, but I'm sure it's higher now.

Since I noticed how close we were last thursday or friday - we have posted 3k overall at SSC.
That is quite few posts in that +- week.
If we keep at that pace it will be about 3 weeks.

I have a new theory. Steve gets paid by the post made by others. He now has several accounts under aliases. Likely Jeff Moden is one (I've never met him so how do I know he exists?). That is how this thread got started.
