Hello,
I had an interesting conversation yesterday with someone that was trying to help me find a new opportunity doing SQL Server work. The person I talked with described my responsibilites back to me in terms I had not considered before, and I wondered whether or not I had expressed myself on my resume as well as I could have.
What I would like to know is how you would define the following job titles, and what responsibilites you would ascribe to each:
1. Database Designer
2. Database Architect
3. Database Developer
4. Database Administrator
In my capacity, I handle what I think of as both the development and DBA responsibilites. I also create the client interfaces for the database applications I make (which includes interfaces for input and reports), create DTS packages (import and clean up data between SQL Server 2000 and a DB4 system, and sometimes MS Access), handle all SQL Server security issues, and support the end users. I'm involved in the entire cycle of every project I do.
I've got resumes out there, but I don't feel like I've nailed down my professional identity as well as I could have. Are there also web resources that could help me?
Thanks for any input you could offer!

Except for the Database Developer title, the other job titles you listed are defined here:
