  I have 5 instances in sql2005 server , one of the sqlservice is in starting status in a instance how can we make up on the service ?

  I am not quite sure what you want to know, but to control whether an instance is starting automatically or not, go to:

  Start Menu | All Programs | Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (or whatever your version is) | Configuration Tools | SQL Server Configuration Manager.

  The services will be listed under SQL Server Services.
