Question re installation of named instances

    I am beginning to investigate setting up names instances of SQL Server running on Windows Server 2003. I know that on this platform it is necessary to install SQL Server SP2 after the initial installation. My question, how do i insure that the SP2 is applied to my second named instance rather than the default? I have not tried this yet so if the answer is going to be obvious pardon the silly question. Thanks.

    It asks you which instance to apply it to.

    Ideally, you should be aiming for SP4.

    Thank you for the update. And yes, SP2 was a typo, I am going for SP4. Thank you.
