Hello room,
I am planning to take the 431 EXAM. Some told me it is easy and some said it's hard.
I found myself it is not easy. I prepared myself for 1 year and still find not easy.
Questions:
1. Where can I found a site that will allow me to retake in case I did pass the first exam.?
Some told me there is link in Microsoft site.
Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Edwin

MS are running their secondshot now until June 30th.

You need to take the origional exam before June 30th and any retake before July 31st (i think).
You must make sure you register the voucher when you book the exam, you cant use it otherwise. You also cannot use it with a money off voucher (15% in the MS books for example)
The 70-431 exam is a tough one, one thing i would definately recommend is just learning all the new features, a lot of the questions of on them. Learn how to set up contracts/queues/messages etc, DMV's are a hot topic.
Keep learning and im sure you will be ok.

Thanks for your advise. It is very encouraging.
SQL 2005 looks simple from outside but inside is very very deep like an ocean.
Yes, I keep learning and never give up. 🙂

I had to take the 431 twice too. What I found the most useful in preperation was going through the labs in the Microsoft Press book. The simulations took me by suprise the first time. 2nd shot is a good idea, I've got that ready for my upcoming 71-444 exam.
Good luck!

Tim, you will be pleased to know there are no simulations in the 70-444 exam, its pure multi choice independant questions, no scenario's/case studys/simulations. I quite enjoyed revising for the 444 exam, there was quite a lot of new things i learnt.

40-45 mins?? thats less than a minute a question (from what i remember there were around 50 questions). For the simulations and the scenario's i would be amazed if you could complete them in less than a minute.
I would expect someone that had used dumps/testkings etc to only just be able to complete the exam in 40 mins. Thats just my opinion though, i guess if you have been working with sql for years and years these things may come easily to you.

45 minutes seems fast, but it might be possible. I took about 80-90 minutes to complete the exam.
