Wait... then... who the heck is responding to me on the 1k+ posters board?
Probably "The Thread" is.

What really motivated this question was when I looked at my forum profile, it stated that I was part of the "General Forums" group. So - naturally curious as I am - I just had to ask!

If you look, so are we. The only people who aren't are Steve and Brian, who are forum moderators.

No, no. Not "who posts on The Thread". I was suggesting The Thread was the one replying to him. (If you check, there's actually a "The Thread" username.)

SSC is really a secret military group. You are correct in saying that there is the General Forums group. There are also Private groups, Sergeant groups, Admiral groups, and the Colonel groups. The Colonel groups of course discuss kernels.
The one I'm most invovled with is the Captain Crunch forum where we talk about how deal with projects and their tight deadlines also known as "Crunch Time".
Hope this helps.

Ah, but only on Thursdays. The thread is extra dimensional Monday through Wednesday, takes a day off on Friday, and hangs out with the Binary Star surfer groups on the weekends. Speaking of which, I should visit that one day, the thread had mentioned this really hot four armed girl it wanted to hook me up with.

Yes - you just may be certifiable at that point.

No, bananas aren't nuts, and some who posted here are bananas. Call this the Cadbury's thread, if you like.

I really detest fruit and nut chocolate. The only place raisins belong is in bobotie (and even that depends whose recipe you're using)

It's decades since I ate any f&n chocolate, my main memory of it is the ancient advertising jingle (everyone's a fruit and not cake....which would probably be politically incorrect today because our language has changed).
As for raisins in bobotie, wouldn't a green apple be better? Or maybe okra? But I don't eat bobotie anyway, partly because no restaurants near where I am these days have it and partly because if I'm going to cook myself I'll cook something I like better than bobotie. (Actually doing bobotie with chopped courgette and a bit of celery where the recipes call for raisins or almonds, not putting in any sugar, and adding some broken dried cayenne guindilla might be pretty good, but I suspect that would be more like a gumbo than bobotie.
I think the right place for raisins is in a tea cake, in a muffin, or in a pancake (Scottish, not English - I can't imagine raisins in what the English call a pancake).

Yuk, No way. Raisins, ground or chopped almonds (I prefer ground), chutney and enough curry powder to give it some zing. There should never be sugar added. I sometimes leave the raisins out of the main recipe and toss a handful in with the rice.
Okra would completely change the texture, and I suspect not in a good way. It should be quite firm anyway.
... but I suspect that would be more like a gumbo than bobotie.
Gumbo and bobotie have just about nothing in common (other than that they both have meat, are spiced and are both served with rice).
