Question about db_datareader role

  Hi,

  For the db_datareader fixed database role: If I add a login to that role for a database, can it select from any table or view in the database, or is there some restriction based on schemas?

  The reason I ask is that someone wants to review data in a database and I want to be sure they can select from all of the tables and views, regardless of the schema to which they belong.

  If there is additional configuration needed beyond adding a login to db_datareader to accomplish this goal, please let me know.
