Question about Autogrowth

  I have MSSQL 2005 and a database of 120GB, and the option autogrowth in 10% but i have a doubt, Who is the increase in space? Do increases when running out of space or when it comes to any value? For example: when the free space is 20Mb increase 10% or when the free space is 0 increase 10%

  It happens when the file has no space left.

  Fom BOL:

  "Select or display the autogrowth properties for the file, which control how the file expands when its maximum file size is reached"
