  Since we donot have admin access to our sql server 2000( in another country), we would like to query the event viewer when we encounter various issues. It is not possible to wait in for DBA everytime as the server is a remote server & due to time difference between the 2 countries.

  My question is, Is it possible to Check Event Viewer for System & Application issues, especially those that are repeating using query analyser ?

  But be aware, in order to read the eventlog, the account under which SQL server runs must have permission to read the eventlog.
