Have never noticed this occuring before...
Using Query Analyzer to debug a stored proc. After stepping through & checking values, used a second window to make changes to the proc (Alter Procedure)... Executed. Closed debugger and restarted with what I assumed was the modified proc. Instead it was the original. I closed Query Analyzer and restarted and proceeded to open debugger window - the original proc was still showing. I did a sp_helptext on the procedure and it too produced the original proc. Opened stored proc from Enterprise Manager and it shows the recent modifications.
Had spent a lot of time (hrs.) before I noticed this. Now wondering how often this has happened since there have been times in the recent past when I put out a proc change only to be questioned later about when I was going to do it. My Query Analyzer shows Service Pack 3A version.
Has anyone else noticed this bug in Query Analyzer when scripting from object browser or sp_helptext vs. Ent.Mgr????
Thanks Shelley
