I work on an SQL Server 7 using the same Version of Query Analyzer. For SQL Server 2000 this tool apparently has some neat new fatures, which make programmer's life easier. I wonder if I can use Query Analyzer 2000 for SQL Server 7. Would the new features be available? Are there any risks (version conflict) ?

Both SQL2K Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer work fine with SQL7.

Most features work just fine since are bound to client as feature not server. Some things may not but most of those are in EM and are hidden when you hit a 7 server. Syntax related stuff and debugging for sure not compatible with 7, I don't remember specifically anything else.
