Queries are failing with below network error

    We have recently upgraded ourdatabase server from Windows server 2012R2 to Windows Server 2016  and SQLserver 2014 to SQL Server 2016.The queries are running inside the SQL serverwithout any issue.

     

    When we to try to run the samequeries from our application server(SAS server)  it is failing with below errors.

      

    ERROR: CLI close cursor error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQLServer Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]ConnectionWrite (send()). : [Microsoft][ODBC

           SQL ServerDriver][TCP/IP Sockets]General network error. Check your network documentation.

     

    ERROR: CLI execute error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL ServerDriver]Communication link failure

     

    any idea ?

    After moving to new server, Did you made sure required network protocols are open(Enabled) and firewall settings are good?

    Yes Srikanth all looks good. Application server is able to connect to DB and process the data but It could not able to push the data back.
