I would like to ask any of the 300 odd people that answered today's (7/21/2003) where you acquired the fix for SHILOH_BUG #: 355263? Because, as of 5/22/2003, the standard Windows NT licensing applet or APIs do not support a per processor licensing concept. In other words, the licensing applet would only show per server or per seat. Is there a new applet available from Redmond?

If you are in clustered SQL Server installation, you may found SQL Server license mode is by per seat instead of per processor even though you did choose the per processor mode during the installation. To change the license mode back to "per processor", edit this registry key using REGEDT32:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\80\MSSQLLicenseInfo\MSSQL8.00

Yes, it is per seat and the dword value for mode is 0. What value should it be to reset to "per processor" mode?

Set the value to 2.
