If the correct answer is
"You can start SQL Server in single user mode to perform certain maintenance on the server, like restore the master database. All the options are valid except for the SQL Server Service Manager option. " then any answer except Server Service Manager option should be considered correct.
This has never been the case in QOD, and my answer Run \program files\microsoft sql server\mssql\binn\sqlservr.exe -m should have been correct.

I Agree that your answer (and mine) should be valid. (Answer no.1)

The key word in the questions is "not".
"Which of the following is not a method to do this in Windows 2000 Server"
So while that the method you list is valid as a means to start sql server in single user mode, it does not answer the question, which is looking for the method that is not valid.

I am truly an idiot. Thanks

Maybe I don't understand the question. Using the EM to change the single-user property seems to me a valid option. If I read correctly, the question was what was NOT a valid option. Is this question a wordgame, or do I truly miss something?
