Since SQL 2000 databases have a limit of 1,048,516 TB, doesn’t that mean that a table cannot exceed that limit?

Yes! I thought the same thing, but since it wasn't an available choice, you have to go with the correct choice that is given (which I won't include here to spoil the question for people who might be trolling for answers!). That size is the (theoretical) limit on *data* files, and since you have to allow for GAMs, SGAMs, etc., and only 8060 bytes on a page ... argh, you do the math. The tables can be BIG. 8D

I was thrown by the same thing. None of the answers looked correct to me.

I'm thinking the same thing.
