QOD 10-22

  • I like questions where I know the answer right away. Makes me feel smart

Data: Easy to spill, hard to clean up!

  • I hope this will stay bilateral !

Btw, thanks David for the word 'sycophants'. Guess, I will use this internally frequently from now on

  • The "correct" answer seems incomplete to me. After creating the sp the developer would also need to grant access to other users. As the question does not say that happened the "correct" answer would result in a permission denied message, not access to the object.

I think the assumption is that the developers are using the same login as Jon. Since Jon created the stored procedure, he knows that he has to prefix the user account to access it.

If that's not the case, then you're right. Access Denied error.

  • If i want to return all the records affected in the same procedure.. how it would be changed?

    Thanks,

    Ramesh.

According to everyone I know I "do something with computers?" for a living, so there you go.

Same goes here. It may seem cheap but was meant as a joke (hence the clown). I would never use a forum to intentionally denigrate anyone.

This may have added to the percieved cheapness.

  • Sorry, I deleted my response, because I saw edwin_fredrick did the same.

So I thought no further need.
