Hi,
In 2005 Management Studio I run a query and see the results in a newly created window pane under my query window.
How do I get rid of the results window so I can maximise the working script window??? I don't want it removing permanently - obviously it's needed to view results but I would like to use the space while working on a script.
I'm sure I'm being stupid but everyone I've asked so far doesn't know how to remove this.
Please help!

Joe,
either use CTRL+ R or add the Show/Hide results button to your toolbar. You find it under Tools\Customize in the Windows categorie.

HI There,
Another way to work is have the results displyed in there own screen.
Click on the Query file opion -> Query Options -> Results -> on this screen there is a tick option to display results in another tab.
thanks
Chris

FYI: The Query menu option only works for the window you're currently working in. If you want a more permanent solution that sticks with every window, go to Tools -> Options -> Query Results -> SQL Server.
In Results to Grid and Results to Text, there is each an option to "Display results in a separate tab". Check those boxes and you should be good to go.
