Purging Problems

  Hello All,

   

  I'm having a problem where the count on a purge job of one of my databases is not working.  It keeps freezing and does not count any of the tables.  When I checked sysprocesses it indicates that it is waiting on a PAGEIOLATCH_SH.  The waitresource was 13:1:2378303.

   

  I went through tons of info on MS website on PAGEIOLATCH_SH and even increased the size of the tempdb. So far, no resolution.

   

  Has anyone seen this problem before? Or have any suggestions?

  Check how much free disk space you have left

  if the tempdb went too large restart sql

  Could hardware[disk]/memory inadecute
