I need to pull data from an Oracle 8i database into SQL Server 2000. In order to use DTS for this, it is necessary to install Oracle Client 8.7.1 on the SQL Server. This is all fine and dandy, but where the heck do I find the download for Oracle Client? I have done numerous Google searches, and have searched the Oracle website to no avail.
Can anyone point me to a location on the web from which I can download Oracle Client 8.7.1?

Here is the link for the 8.1.7 client:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle8i/index.html
What you should do is download this package which is the full package, and ONLY install the client tools. Test it on another PC first before installing it to the SQL server.
Good luck.

Thanks! How does this compare to using the Oracle Instant Client?
