Profiler Trace (FlightRecorder)

  • How can one go about turning off or dis-enable the setting "FlightRecorder", there is a file that is being created (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\OLAP\Log\FlightRecorderCurrentorBack.trc) each day and I want to turn off whatever it is that's creating the file.

  • This is a part of Analysis Services. According to the books online you can turn this off through the Properties of the server in SSMS.
