Hi,
We have SQL Server 2005 reporting services. An AD user account called ssrsuser has been created with Browse permissions using report manager.
The report server url (http://servername/reportserver) is placed in the web.config file of an application and calling that url using the encrypted username ssrsuser and its password.
Everything works fine and all reports run fine. But once in a while, the report manager & reportserver urls stop responding.
I noticed the below error in the log files. Please advice..Do I need to change any settings for the connection pool in SSRS?
If yes, where should I change those settings?
ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ReportServerDatabaseUnavailableException: The report server cannot open a connection to the report server database. A connection to the database is required for all requests and processing., ;

this sounds more like an IIS setting issue - worth checking that IIS is not restricting the connections.

How to find what are the connections that making the connection pool max out? It;s just a report services server..no databases in it. thanks

Yeah, what I mean is IBelieve IIS has settings that can restrict the number of connections to the IIS server/ (be that a reporting services site or some other web site) . I think that is where you problem lies and not with and ssrs configuration or databases

The user abc\rsuser exist the reportserver database but it's complaining that the user does not exist.
It works only after iisreset. And after sometime, again same issue.

You probably have, but have you check the permissions for the abc\rsuser?
What's it being used for - running reporting services?

When ever a user runs a report from the application, then from there the reportserver url will be called by the user abc\rsuser and generates report results. it works great but some times, when the user clicks the report, it hangs and at that time when I open reportserver or report manager then both the url's get hung. works again when I reset the iis.

report manager & reportserver urls are not responding and they are working once I reset the IIS for some time and then again they are not responding?
Could you please advice
