Hi all, just wonder if anyone has processed .NAF file? Would it be the same as processing .txt file? I right to load it into the db as .txt with fixed width but it didn't look right at all. Thanks for all the help.

File extensions exist to let the viewer of the file name as well as to tip off the operating system as to what the program to use to open the file when it is double clicked.
If a file contains text it does not matter what the extension is, or even that is has an extension for that matter. The real importance is what is in the file and if that can be read by SSIS.
If you open a text editor ilke Notepad and then open the file in question using the File>Open... menu do you see properly formatted text as you think your SSIS package would expect?
