  I have some tracking scripts that track blocks on the system.

  Last month I had 3 blocks. We moved to a new and more powerful server and this month I am showing that processes are blocking themselves?

  Any ideas on what is causing this?

  It started with SP4 and is due to modified reporting on latch waits:

  Thanks...that explains it, as we upgradded the SQL server to the most current release level a few weeks ago.
