Processadmin kill process role

    Using sql server 2000, if I assign myself the processadmin role, login then right click to kill processes/connections this feature is greyed Out. I want to create a role which allows others to killing processes.Can anyone help. Processadmin doesnt work. Thanks

    That might be an EM thing. Processadmin should have rights to kill processes, according to BOL. Have you tried using KILL through QA?

    Yeah thanks works through QA not EM. Issue is I want users to use EM not QA. I'll have to do further investigation but I think its a problem with the app EM. Cheers

    After you kill a process in EM (..| Current Activity | Process Info ), the view is not updated. You need to right click on Current Activity and select Refresh. Then click on Process Info again.
