Hi all,
I was wondering if dba's could share the process used to move changes/data from development to a live server.
I am currently using Red Gate Compare and/or SQL EM. I have about 5-10 uploads a day which fragments my day and reduces productivity of my other tasks.
Am I the only one faced with this issue? Or have others found an easier way or product to use?
Thanks.

Search this site for Change Management. There are quite a few threads/articles on that topic.

Making 10-15 changes per day to a production server is not sustainable, sooner or later it's going to bite you in the butt.
A change management/ QA / release process is definitely something you want to pursue... short term it's a little painful to get started if your developers/management are used to immediate gratification, long term it leads to a better product (and less time spent chasing the latest bug/firefighting).

check out this article on the subject: http://www.innovartis.co.uk/pdf/Innovartis_An_Automated_Approach_To_Do_Change_Mgt.pdf
it's all about creating an automated change management process using the tool DB Ghost. DB Ghost has one major difference to all other products - it interfaces directly with your source code so it can use your source control in such a way as to make developing straight from source control a reality, just like procedural code.
