Hi,
I am facing the below problem in installing integration services in sql server 2008.
I have a 2-node Windows 2003/SQL 2008 cluster with multiple instances, and I
want to add SSIS to one of the instances. When I run the installer with "Add
feature to an instance", I get to the final rule check and I'm stopped with
"Existing Clustered or cluster-prepared instance" rule failed, and unable to
continue. I've tried removing the second node, but I get the same error
(since the instance is still "cluster-prepared".
How can I add a feature to a clustered instance? This instance is already
production, so uninstalling and reinstalling this instance completely isn't
an option, and I'd prefer not a add a completely new instance just for SSAS.
Please help me. Thanks in advance.

First of , you mention SSIS and the end of your post, you say SSAS, which one is it, or are you just talking about adding feautures generically
"Note: SQL Server 2008 does not support adding features to an existing failover cluster instance, so Analysis Services cannot be added to an existing instance of SQL Server. To share a resource group with an instance of SQL Server, you must choose to install Analysis Services during the initial installation of SQL Server."

Hi all.
We have the same scenario: two cluster nodes windows 2003 with sql 2008, database engine and analysis service.
I supposed that the only way to have the two resources on separate servers was to configure two different sql server instances. The first one with db engine and the other features and the second one with analysis service.
Do you know if there was another approach?
