Problem with Integration Services

  • Hi,

when i open my management studio and connect to the integration services of my server i can only see the two top folders (folder name in german version: "Ausgeführte Pakete" and "Gespeicherte Pakete").

the other folders i added to this structure and all the packets are not visible. otherwise i can see the structure when creating an sql server job. the old jobs which call the packets are all running. it really seems that my structure is not visible in management studio because all packets are still running in jobs as before.

before this happens i updatet to sp3 and KB978915 to version 9.0.4285.

all other stuff is running perfectly.

    any ideas?

    thx.

  • Try re-deploying from BIDS

  • I assume those translate to Running Packages and Stored Packages. Under Stored Packages you should see "File System" and "MSDB". Under msdb you should see your structure.

thats right. it is "running packages" and "stored packages". under these folders i can see nothing else. no msdb-folder! why is that? it works fine before update to sp3 and KB978915 to version 9.0.4285.

as i said, all packages are still there and working but i cant see them in management studio.

  • seems like i got it:

there was a wrong path for the integration services config-file in the registry.

the path pointed to: "Microsoft SQL Server (x86)\90\DTS\Binn\MsDtsSrvr.ini.xml".

but right is: "Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\MsDtsSrvr.ini.xml".

why this was i dont know, perhaps the sp3 did it wrong?!?

  • Perhaps. you could look on connect.microsoft.com and see if it was reported.
