Problem with display of textbox controls on form

  • I have laid out a number of text box controls over top of a W2 image. I have noticed that when I run the report in ReportBuilder, the format of the controls look fine. However, when I click the link to the report, the data in the textboxes are off center, meaning that the data is displayed about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off.

I have found trying to get the data displayed exactly where I want to be quite a challenge. Even trying to slightly change the location of one text box seems to readjust some of the other fields on the form. I am constantly trying to tweak the location placement of the text boxes. When I display the report, some of the data is displayed in a location that is below where the textbox is placed on the form.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Are you using an actual Image control? If so try using a Rectangle instead and then set the Rectangle's background property to the image. The rendering engine will keep the layout as it should be.

  • I did place a rectangle control and set the background image property to that image. I then placed text box controls on top.
