Problem when I try to see volumes from SQL Server

  • Recently I have installed a SQL Server 2000 cluster with SP3 in Active/Pasive.

With the disks of the SAN (external) I prepared, apart from the Quorum, 2 volumes (F: and G:), one for MDF and another for LDF.

The disks are as resources in the Cluster Administrator and they balance well. From Windows I see and I can access each one perfectly.

The problem is that in SQL Server, when creating a database only appears F:

Once I saw something on this problem, but I don't remember where.

    Can somebody help me?

    Regards from Madrid

Thank you in advance and a greeting

  • Is drive G: set to be a dependency of SQL Server in Cluster Administrator? If not, you won't see the drive in Enterprise Manager.

If it is a dependency, does the account used to start SQL Server have permissions to see the drive?

  • Thank you.

Your information has been really useful.

I have added the disk as dependence of the SQL Server Service and I already see correctly G:

    Thanks a lot
