Hello friends
I have sql server in PC now I want to connect another PC which has sqsql server 2000 but problem arises when i connect it to MSDE
what might be problem for that ??

When you install MSDE, you must specify the DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=0 command line option to setup.exe to allow network access.
To rectify this after installation, run the server network configuration utility for SQL (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\svrnetcn.exe by default). Enable the TCP protocol (maybe named pipes as well) and this might fix your problem. If you had no protocols enabled, then SQL won't be accessible to other machines across the network.
