In the BIS, the preview tab works fine (if wildly inaccurate), though when I select Print Layout, I see nothing but black and in this case a rendered image from an image control.
This happened on an associates computer and it's happening on mine... different database, different projects, though the same server.

I've never had good luck with printing or exporting from within the development environment. I find it best to deploy the report and test out printing and exporting from the deployed version.

Yes, thats what I'm doing. Checking things out in the one preview then deploying to see how things really look in HTML and then PDF Preview to see how things turn out there.
Thanks for the confirmation that we're not totally alone in strange happenings in the IDE

The default background color needs to be set from transparent to some other color, try white. This needs to be done for the report, tables, headers, footers... everything!
