If production server failed then copy job will start failing and you can keep notifictation on failure of this job.
After getting notification you can start to dig the issue and if you want can recover all your db in secondary and make it prod.

My question to you:
Why did the interviewer asked this question to you?
Have you mentioned in your resume that you have experience in Log-Shipping?

Well, if you have experience in log shipping, surely you know how to fail a log shipping setup over? It's one of the basic things that anyone who's worked with log shipping must know.

DR/HA is bit complex and a very serious matter. My advice to you is, since you don't have any experience in this area, please remove it from your resume for the time being.
Firstly learn it. When your are comfortable with it, mention it in your resume.

you should have an RTO in place and if logshipping of the primary server fails you need to fix the problems within the RTO or bring the secondary database online, do a google search for "bringing a log shipping standby database online"
if your forced to bring the secondary online you need to look at role switching where the primary after being fixed becomes the secondary and re setup logshipping so that you are able to fail back in the event that it fails again.
you say you know the concept of logshipping, if that is true you should know how to deal with server failures as you should know the end to end details of logshipping, this is clearly not the case.
if you want to know mirroring as well take a look at the different mirroring modes and what they all intale especially in terms of recoverying and failing over.

We're not going to give you complete answers to interview questions.
Seriously, the primary use of log shipping is to protect against failure of the primary server, so if you don't know how to bring the secondary online after the failure of the primary server, I'd argue that you don't know log shipping and shouldn't be putting it on your resume.
If you want to start researching:

Everybody tried to help you. But, to me it looks like instead of improving your skill sets, you want to improve your repository of interview question answers.
You have made false claims in your resume. It is illegal and immoral. And you are asking others to be part of your crime.
