Primary key violation error in bidirectional replication

  • I setup merge replication. The primary key values are auto incremented. Actually my requirement is a bidirectional replication. The user may add data to both publisher and subcriber. The issue is, some times the primary key violation will occurr. How can i avoid this primary key violation by the use of identity range?

  • There is an option in some agent , i think its the merge agent .

That option is to ignore this error .You simply have to ad the error number in the box and save it .

Start the agent again ...you will not see that error again .
